Lois Margaret Morris Dean left us on July 13, 2011. She was born February 11, 1924 to Frank Arnold and Margaret Elizabeth Barton Morris in Greenville, Utah.
After graduation from High School, she worked as a bookkeeper in Ruth, Nevada for 2 years. She then went into the US Marine Corp for 2 years where she was stationed in San Francisco and served as a sergeant. After she was honorably discharged, she worked for the government.
On September 8, 1946, she married Leon Dean. They were later sealed in the St. George Temple.
She worked at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center for twenty years and retired as the Unit Service Director. She loved to read and had a sharp mind.
She is best known for her homemade, hand-dipped chocolates and sweet rolls. Her family was the most important thing in her life. She spent her life serving her family and those around her. She is survived by her daughters, Toni (Wade) Doyle, Terri Kennedy (Doug Carver), seven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and a brother-in- law, Don Dean.
She is preceded in death by twin sons, Dale and David and one daughter, Patricia, her loving husband, Leon, her mother and father, four sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 18, 2011 at the Berg Mortuary of Orem, 500 North State Street. Friends may call at the mortuary Monday morning one hour prior to services. We would like to thank Midas Home Health for their loving tender care of our Mom. Also the paramedics who answered our call for assistance and especially the wonderful staff at Riverton Hospital who made Mom's last hours so comfortable.
